Xanga Layouts

She never minds much. This is Yomiko, a dark-haired, pale-skinned, small in stature young woman. Her Black hair falls right above her rear and has a slight wave to it, obviously never tampered with. She never puts too much effort into her looks, unless it comes to clothes. She has dark-violet eyes that become illuminated in just the right light. She isn't the tallest girl around, in fact, she isn't tall at all. The last time she grew was during 7th grade, and that was a long time ago, 5'2" was the finishing line. She doesn't have much of a history, one mother, one father, one older sister, her parents not busy enough to have a son. Her parents lie in her hometown of Fontina, where everything is green, and her sister fled-- err, "moved" to Africa, allegedly. So now, Yomiko lives in a rural forest that she found after she missed her flight for the glamorous city of New York City. She's happy, but things can get a little lonely from time to time.
The Girl

Name: Yomiko [Yo-miko]
Alias: Umm... Yomi, Miko, Yoko?
Age: 18
Gender: Feeemale
Likes: ...Pie and books, reading books while eating pie.
Hates: Feet!
Orientation: Straight, thank you.

Yomiko lives alone in a forest, past the river and hidden by the trees. Been working at a small bookstore for the past year, still finding books fascinating. She's had a past, nothing epic or tragic, but a past in itself. Let's just say, it's complicated.
This pretty little lady is a fun-loving, awesomely strange, almost normal, super-nice girl. Lately, she's had the habit to tap into the emotions of others around her, she knows how they feel and it's intensity. The violet-eyed princess cannot control her gift but can merely tone it down.
If you want to know more, you'll have to find out.

OOC Entry

1-1-09

Happy New Year!!! I drank Sparkling Cider like it was alcohol and loved it!

How were all your New Year celebrations? I'm curious, because all I did was drink and jump around a room with the T.V. on full blast. Speaking of the New Year, that means Winter Break is almost over T.T I don't want to go back to school...

It's nearly New Years! My best friend is coming over to my house to sleep over, it's only happened once so far, so I'm really excited. I've been coming on at least once a day and I'm proud of myself for it! :] I'm not exactly one that gets multitudes of comments, but that would be nice xD So I don't come on usually more than once a day.

I'm going to be spending New Years with my family at home, with a giant glazed Ham and my best friend. Iv'e been watching a ton of Gintama lately and I love it! I'm thinking about rping a character from there, probably Kagura, she's so cute and deadly : D So, be on the lookout for any random links that pop up on an entry, they just might lead to a new character. Well, just hurl those comments at me, people! Until next... post?

"Well, that's Christmas."

Yomiko was staring out her frosty window and out to the forest blanketed with pure, white snow. Every few minutes or so she had to wipe the frost off her window with a soggy, warm cloth so it didn't completely freeze over. She stared out the window to the Snow-Thing she made. It wasn't a man, so it couldn't be called a Snow Man, nor was it any species she had ever seen before. Therefore, it was a thing. Her Snow-Thing looked happy, caught in a gentle shower of snowflakes and cold breeze. This made Yomiko smile, not only for her Snow-Thing, but also for herself for making such a lovely creature.

Walking towards her Calendar, she marked the days off since Christmas and barely discovered that it has come to be time for New Years. When New Years came along, she would usually treat herself and walk to the city. She would familiarize herself with everyone again and spend her sweet, loving time with them. Not to mention pig out at any good food she sees. "Hey, Yomiko, how have you been?" they would frequently ask her, while hugging her, shaking her hand and the like. "The same as ever." Or, almost the same at least. Her strange "senses" didn't even take a break during the holidays.

She paid no mind to them though. Around this time, rarely anyone was troubled or upset. That's what the holidays do to you. They bring you up to your peak, no matter what mess or dilemma youv'e gotten yourself into. You will be forgiven. That is exactly what the brightly colored auras around each person said. And with that, there are Yomiko's inbetween holidays. Surprisingly, something bounds to go wrong, though nothing has yet.

Nothing... yet.

((Offline))

This is obviously an ooc post! :] I think Yomiko is becoming an overall well-rounded character, no? Then tell me so. She actually began as a character with a mash-up of different abilities from different anime's and manga's, but that wasn't original at all. Iv'e also thought of rping as a Canon Character, but I'll do that on another site. Yomiko has a backstory set up and all that good stuff. So please, keep the comments coming.

Yay! The Anime Expo is tomorrow! I finally get to go, and with one of my best friends... EVER!!! Only for two days, but that's more than enough! I haven't gone in the past 8 years and it's been bugging me. It's at the LA Con. Center this year, when I went, it was at the Anaheim Con. Center. It can't be too different, right? o_o ... What differences can there be between two convention centers? I kind of don't want to find out now.

Anyway, I was planning to be Yuzuki Mikage from Jigoku Shoujo 3: Mitsuganae. Although, that idea kind of flew out the window at some point. Now I'm planning to be Misa-Misa from Death Note! >< I found a black dress in my closet that looks like something Misa would wear. I also have the pigtails and a headpiece to go with it, so, I think I'll pass for a pretty decent Misa. I really hope to see some of you there, even though I probably won't know it! xD Will most likely be posting pictures after the Expo!

That was sooo much fun! >< I want to go tomorrow, but I can't T___T ... I took a whole load of pictures. I wish I could show them all, but Xanga would probably kick me off for showing more than 100 pictures at a single time! xDD I'll post my favorite cosplays and some of myself, no matter how crappy it might be. I ran into a lot of really good cosplays and a lot of people I know, surprisingly! That made it even more fun and I wish I could be there for the next two days.

>< I ran into a Soul Eater cosplay of Death the Kid, and let me tell you, he was HOT. Well, I think he's hot... xD . I felt the temperature rising when I took a picture of him, he looks so cool... xDD There was this Umbrella Corp guy from Resident Evil that my best friend thought was hot, even though he was wearing a mask and the only words he spoke to her were, "You're welcome.". She said his voice was sexy and that she'd hit that. xDDD I just wanted to tell you all this, I'm really looking forward to next years! (Pictures have been posted and have been removed. Better luck next time!)

It's been a while... and I'm SO SORRY! Being halfway across the world with crappy internet connection COULD kill a person. I was out in 1) South Korea, and then 2) The Philippines (Pride, people :D). I had an amazing... but painful... time! The moment I stepped outside of the airplane in the Philippines, I swore my hair poofed into or close enough into an afro. Well, anyhow, school started.... yay... and now I hear the crickets. At least it's a three-day weeked thanks to Labor Day! You would have never thanked Labor if it weren't for that day. I will be renovating my site for a while... a long while most likely. Because... it needs it and I'm sure you would all unconditionally agree. Well, I'm off to renovatin'! Byeee-Bye!~

I'm getting a new look on right now, for the site I mean. I'll probably be using this one for a while because I got dumber and forgot how to edit layouts properly. It has been a while since I actually edited a layout. I'll be on more often, I really promise so, even if school work kills me. I need to get this thing up and running again! More posts because I'm bored and must adapt to internet life once again!

The head-tilting got to her...

Yomiko's "senses" became stronger and stronger each day. They eventually transitioned into a heavy migrane. She would toss and turn in bed, want to beat her head against the wall. She would dread getting out, but still love it at the same time. The pain became less and less and act up again at certain points. It was getting strange, she began to see strange things as well. Things flying throught the air, things hiding in the dark. She was frightened to stay at her own house sometimes. Being resilient paid off though.

The "senses" began acting up strangely, becoming more concentrated and obvious to pick out. They all started with that lady in the cafe. Each step she took, closer and closer, she felt more pain. Pain of the heart, was this lady heart-broken? A bad relationship? Something with the heart.. her heart hurt? Yomiko still couldn't fully put her finger on these things.

It would be hard to talk to the lady, Yomiko was already akward with people as it is.
Yomiko didn't know how to approach her, so she would try her normal approach. She walked past her, smiling brightly, as if she had known her for a while. Waiting for a drink she ordered, she walked toward the young lady again. The seemingly heart-broken woman had short brown hair, the length being a little past her chin, and she had blank brown eyes that looked nowhere.

"Ma'm, m-may I speak to you?", Yomiko had her fingers crossed behind her back, hoping she would be kind.
"Sure, please sit...", the corners of the lady's mouth turned up just slightly, maybe she was just feeling lonely?
"M-my boyfriend... just... broke up with me... and it's been hard. I live alone and it's been hard...", her acting skills would be tested. She looked down in dissappointment and sighed.
"I know how you feel, dear. I just got a divorce, I was cheated on.", she smiled and patted Yomiko on the head kindly. Yomiko smiled and her eyes softened.
"I'm truly sorry, that sounds much worse!", Yomiko exclaimed, covering her mouth with her hand. The woman smiled at Yomiko as if they had been best friends.

The dark-haired young woman had just found her answer.

The pretty brown-haired woman's name was Maya. It turns out that Maya is only one year older than Yomiko, and she was already married? The young people these days... ironically. Her husband had divorced her before, this was the third and final time. Maya and Yomiko kept in touch after than moment, at least something good came out of it.

Yomiko's destiny seemed to be set in stone. Now, even when she walked near a person, she knew how they were feeling, the possibilites why they were feeling that way and like she's known them for the longest time. The same goes for animals and objects. This was weird, but Yomiko was ready.

Yomiko's interest could be sparked by the most simplest and or trivial things.

She was playing with a puzzle board thingy, you know, the ones that have these small mixed up squares that you have to slide to move. She was frustrated, but kept trying and trying until... she gave up. These things would do her well, first of all, they were cheap. Second of all, they were a challenge. She was no genius whatsoever, but she could at least manage a slightly higher than average passing grade during her High School days. She needed to go for a walk, regardless of if the clock striked 6:00 p.m., she needed to get out.

The forest was her humble abode itself by now, she's been living there for two years. She examined the trees, curious about why this bark is different from this tree's bark. She ran to see how far she could go until she reached the bustling town, panting and slightly glistening. She would walk momentarily through the town when she got there, some people she sees frequently. Like this young woman that seemed about her age, Yomiko would always see her sitting in the same seat at a Cafe window, drinking a beverage.

Yomiko had no close friends, she had left them all behind at her hometown, which seemed she could never return to. Reminiscing about the past made her feel queasy, so she never truly recalls it. The closest friends she had were the locals at the Supermarket and the shop owners of the shops she frequently buys from. But no one to call her "true" friend, her "best" friend, or even really, if she truly meant it, a "friend" at all.

Regardless of what she though about those things, she was curious about this young woman. She always had a content look on her face, but lately that look has been transformed into a miserable look. That woman's eyes no longer had the shine they used to. Yomiko wanted to ask what had happened, but she was shy, she admits that. This was one of those times where she hoped her curiousity would get the best of her.

Eventually, it did.
